This specialized socket is designed for loosening and removing E-profile (external Torx®) fasteners used on window regulators and guide rail assemblies in BMW vehicles.

The access holes in the door panel are extremely limited, making conventional sockets unsuitable for reaching the mounting screws. This low-profile special socket allows access to otherwise difficult-to-reach fasteners.

Designed for Restricted Access Areas

The compact design allows work through narrow openings in the door panel while providing secure engagement with the fasteners.

Window Regulator Initialization Procedure

After repairs or replacement of electric window regulator components, initialization or relearning is required.

Procedure:

Move the side window to the fully lowered position
Press and hold the switch in the "Open" position for approximately 15–25 seconds
Release the switch and immediately press and hold the "Close" position
The window will move automatically to the lower and upper end positions
Once the upper end position has been reached, initialization is complete
