This brake fluid tester is designed for fast and simple determination of water content (H₂O) in brake fluid and for evaluating the condition of various brake fluid types.
Brake fluid is hygroscopic, meaning it absorbs moisture over time. As water content increases, the boiling point of the brake fluid decreases. If the boiling point becomes too low, the fluid may begin to boil under high operating temperatures, creating air bubbles that can reduce braking performance or potentially lead to brake system failure.
The tester allows quick analysis of brake fluid condition for DOT3, DOT4, DOT5.1, ENV4, and ENV6 brake fluids. The required brake fluid standard can easily be selected by holding the power button during startup.
The test process is straightforward: switch on the device, immerse the sensor into the brake fluid, and read the result immediately via the integrated colored LED indicators.
The unit features a robust impact-resistant and acid-resistant plastic housing, a practical pen-style design with pocket clip, and a protective cap for safe storage.

Instructions for Use
- Remove the front protective cover.
- Select the brake fluid type by pressing and holding the selection button.
- The brake fluid selection cycles through the available options and the corresponding LED indicator will illuminate. Release the button when the LED next to the brake fluid type you wish to test flashes twice.
- Immerse the measuring sensors approximately 5 mm into the brake fluid.
- The brake fluid condition is displayed immediately and should be interpreted as follows:
Test Result Interpretation
| Test Result | Status | Brake Fluid Condition |

| 🟢 A | Ready for operation | No water content detected in the brake fluid. The brake fluid can remain in the vehicle. |
| 🟢 B | Very good condition | Water content is very low (<1%). The brake fluid can remain in the vehicle. |
| 🟡 C | Good condition | Water content is low (<2%). The brake fluid can remain in the vehicle. |
| 🟠 D | Critical condition | Water content is critical (<3%). Brake fluid replacement is recommended. |
| 🔴 E | Replace immediately | Water content is very high (>4%). The brake fluid must be replaced immediately. |
After the measurement has been completed, the brake fluid tester automatically switches off after approximately 12 seconds.
Note: A new measurement can only be performed after the device has switched off automatically and has been switched on again.
