Crankshaft Pulley Puller with Internal Thread for Ford 2.0 EcoBlue TDCi – as 303-1657

This specialized puller is designed for removing crankshaft pulleys with internal thread on Ford 2.0L EcoBlue TDCi engines (from 2019 onwards). It ensures controlled and damage-free removal of the vibration damper, even in cases of corrosion or tight seating.

Application

Required during:

• Timing belt service
• Removal of timing cover
• Engine repair and maintenance
• Vibration damper removal

Design & Operation

The puller engages directly into the internal thread of the crankshaft pulley. By applying controlled force via the central spindle, the pulley can be removed safely without damaging surrounding components.

Corrosion and moisture can make removal difficult using standard workshop tools—this tool ensures proper extraction according to manufacturer procedures.

Important Notes

• For engines up to model year 2019 with threaded holes, use item.no. 121264 (as Ford 204-158-01)
• Due to high tightening torque, it is mandatory to use flywheel locking tool item.no. 118885 (as Ford 303-1643)
• Use appropriate 3/4" drive tools for correct torque application

Crankshaft pulley tightening sequence:

• Stage 1: 10 Nm
• Stage 2: Loosen 60°
• Stage 3: 20 Nm
• Stage 4: 70 Nm
• Stage 5: 150 Nm
• Stage 6: Loosen 90°
• Stage 7: 100 Nm
• Stage 8: 300 Nm
• Stage 9: 90°
