This drive belt measuring gauge is designed for determining the length of different drive belts.
It measures the inside length of V-belts, wedge belts, ribbed belts, toothed belts and double-section V-belts. The included conversion table can then be used to determine the required pitch, datum, outside or effective length according to the belt type.
The measuring range extends from 500 to 2500 mm.
Instructions for Use
- Identify the drive belt type or profile, such as 8M, SPA, AX13, PH or HBB.
- Use the conversion table to determine which additional measurement applies to the selected belt profile.
- Place the drive belt over the plastic half-shell supports. Extend the measuring gauge until the belt is tensioned sufficiently for measurement, then read the inside length.
- Find the corresponding additional value for the selected drive belt profile in the table.
- Add the table value to the measured inside length:
Required belt length = measured inside length + table value
Calculation Example
The measured inside length of a ZX10 V-belt is 978 mm.
978 mm measured inside length + 22 mm table value = 1000 mm required belt length
