Special service tool designed for centering and securing the twin-disc clutch assembly on BMW M5 and M6 vehicles equipped with GS7S47BG SMG transmission and S85 engine. The tool must be used during both removal and installation procedures of the clutch assembly.

Application

The tool is inserted into the center of the clutch assembly and locked in position before loosening the clutch bolts. It secures and aligns the twin-disc clutch package during service procedures and helps prevent damage to the dual mass flywheel assembly.

Important Information

  • A disassembled or separated clutch assembly must not be reinstalled
  • Clutch release module, guide sleeve, ball stud, and spring clip must be replaced during service
  • Existing factory alignment markings must be observed during reinstallation
  • Incorrect positioning of the dual mass flywheel clutch package can result in severe damage
  • New dual clutch assemblies may include a locking ring which must be removed after installation

Flywheel to Crankshaft

  • M12 – 105 Nm

Clutch to Flywheel

  • 10 Nm ±2 Nm
