Important Thread Compatibility Note

The included pneumatic chain tensioner features a 22 mm thread with 1.0 pitch. Some vehicles are equipped with a 1.5 pitch thread, and it is not possible to determine the thread type without inspection.

It is essential to verify that your engine uses a 22 mm thread with 1.0 pitch before purchasing. If your vehicle requires a 1.5 pitch tensioner, a different tool or replacement tensioner will be necessary.

Repair Notes

(Reference: M48/51 engine, Porsche Cayenne 9PA)
The pneumatic chain tensioner must first be pressurized with 1.0 bar, then increased to 5.0–5.5 bar for correct operation.

Torque Specifications

Camshaft central bolts: 10 Nm → 50 Nm → +90°
Camshaft adjuster central bolts: 10 Nm → 50 Nm → +135°
Crankshaft pulley central bolt: 20 Nm → 50 Nm → 100 Nm → +180°
