Ford PowerShift DPS6 / 6DCT250 Transmission Seal Installation Tool Set

Specialized tool set designed for the removal and installation of shaft seals on Ford PowerShift DPS6 and 6DCT250 6-speed dry dual-clutch transmissions. The kit is intended for servicing both input shaft seals and driveshaft seals during transmission and clutch repair operations.

The tools allow safe and damage-free installation of driveshaft seals as well as precise removal and installation of input shaft seals.

Suitable for Ford PowerShift transmissions installed in models such as Ford Focus, Fiesta, B-Max, and EcoSport.

The special tool is suitable both for replacing the input shaft oil seals and for damage-free installation of the drive shaft oil seals on DPS6 / 6DCT250 transmission series gearboxes.

Preliminary work:

• Remove the clutch
• Remove the clutch actuators and selector slides
• Remove the clutch cylinder

Seal removal:

• Carefully screw tool into the input shaft and remove the inner oil seal by operating the spindle
• Use a pointed punch or similar tool to make a small hole in the outer ring
• Remove the outer input shaft oil seal using a self-tapping screw (e.g. 2.5 x 15 mm) and pliers

Seal installation:

• Slide sleeve over the shaft and press the oil seal into the previously cleaned recess using sleeve 
• Install the clutch cylinder (3 x 8 Nm)
• Install the inner oil seal. For this, place sleeve over the smaller shaft and press it in using installation sleeve

With adapter plate, the drive shaft oil seals can be installed without damage. These seals should always be replaced, as the transmissions are sensitive to low oil levels.
