Removing or installing the high-pressure fuel pump on Opel B20DT and D20DT engine series used from 2014 requires the timing-belt drive pulley to be loosened and removed.

Counterholding the pump with standard workshop tools is difficult and may cause damage. This special tool positively locks the fuel pump drive pulley, allowing the retaining nut to be loosened and tightened in a controlled manner.

Vehicle identification based only on the German KBA registration number may lead to selection of the wrong tool or repair instructions.

Always verify the engine displacement:

  • D20DTH with 1956 cm³: GM engine – tool suitable
  • D20DTH with 1997 cm³: PSA DW10 engine – tool not suitable

  • Fuel pump pulley nut: 80 Nm
  • Fuel pump mounting bolts: 25 Nm

Torque specifications may vary. Always verify the values using the applicable manufacturer repair instructions.
