This 17-piece tool kit is designed for installing and removing glow plugs and for professionally repairing damaged glow plug threads.
The included puller enables seized glow plugs to be extracted, while the step drills allow broken glow plug bodies to be drilled out in preparation for removal.
Thread Repair
The included taps allow M8×1.0 and M10×1.0 glow plug threads to be recut and cleaned.
A 6.3 mm (1/4")×28 UNF tap is also included for creating the thread required during the extraction procedure. The ratcheting tap holder facilitates controlled operation, especially in confined engine compartments.
