The Glow Plug Tester – Multivolt Diagnostic Tool 0V–48V is designed for fast and reliable testing of nearly all glow plugs up to 48V directly while installed in the vehicle.
Unlike conventional testing methods using vehicle battery voltage, which can damage many modern low-voltage glow plugs, this tester performs safe diagnostic measurements independently of vehicle supply voltage.
The integrated LCD display automatically identifies defective glow plugs and short circuits regardless of operating voltage. In addition, the tester measures the internal resistance value of the glow plug, allowing users to determine wear and condition by comparing the measured resistance with a new reference glow plug.
The automatic evaluation process makes diagnosis faster and more precise for workshop and maintenance applications.

Operating Instructions
- Insert a 9V battery into the tester.
- Perform a calibration procedure before first use and after replacing the battery or test leads:
- Touch the test probe and clip together.
- Press the test button.
- The tester performs a countdown from 5.
- Connect the black clamp to the negative terminal of the vehicle battery.
- Place the probe tip on the electrode terminal of the glow plug.
- The tester automatically measures the internal resistance and determines whether replacement of the glow plug is required.
