This special tool is designed for unlocking and disconnecting the bayonet-style heater hose connections fitted to Ford and selected Mazda vehicles.
It enables safe removal of the heater hose connector without damaging the locking tabs, reducing the need to replace the complete coolant hose assembly.

Solves a Common Removal Problem
After years of service, the original locking tabs often become difficult to rotate due to dirt, corrosion and ageing. Attempting to release the connection manually can easily break the plastic tabs, requiring replacement of the complete coolant hose.
The problem is further complicated by the limited working space around the firewall.
