Procedure
Step 1
Set the eccentric shaft to the minimum lift position using an Allen key (hex key).
⚠️ Warning:
The camshaft must not rest on the intermediate levers during removal or installation.
Required tool: Intermediate lever sliding block
Step 2
Position the tensioning lever for the intermediate lever return spring.
⚠️ Warning:
Ensure correct positioning – the spring must be properly seated in the side guides.
Step 3
Compress and lock the return spring using the tensioning tool.
Step 4
Place the spring holder in a bench vise.
Step 5
Insert the lever tool with the return spring into the spring holder and release the spring tension.
Step 6
Repeat the above steps for all remaining components.
Step 7
Remove the intermediate lever guide blocks (sliding blocks / guide rails).
Step 8
The camshaft is now ready for removal.
