Power Steering Hydraulic Pressure Tester 140 Bar

This specialized tool kit is designed for testing hydraulic pressure in power steering systems. With the included adapters, it is suitable for use on vehicles from nearly all major manufacturers, making it a versatile diagnostic solution for professional workshops.

Accurate Pressure Measurement

The hydraulic pressure gauge is designed to measure pressures up to 140 bar (2000 psi) and is resistant to both hydraulic and mineral oils. The supplied high-pressure hose is rated for temperatures up to 120°C, ensuring reliable operation under demanding workshop conditions.

Diagnostic Applications

The pressure gauge is installed in the high-pressure circuit between the power steering pump and the steering gear while the engine is switched off and the system is depressurized. For easier access, installation directly at the pump is generally recommended.

After bleeding the hydraulic circuit, the shut-off valve can be closed for a maximum of 5 seconds to verify the maximum output pressure of the power steering pump. With the valve open, the control pressure of the complete steering system can be evaluated.

A defective pressure control valve or flow control valve can often be identified by comparing pressure readings at 1000 rpm and 3000 rpm.
