✔ 28-piece cooling system pressure testing and vacuum refill kit
✔ Suitable for filling, bleeding and leak testing automotive cooling systems
✔ Pressure testing with manual pump up to 2.5 bar
✔ Vacuum coolant filling for bubble-free refilling
✔ Includes 20 vehicle-specific adapters for most vehicle makes
✔ Universal cone adapter for vacuum filling
✔ Supplied in a durable storage case
This 28-piece tool kit is designed for pressure testing, vacuum filling and bleeding automotive cooling systems. It enables fast leak detection and allows coolant to be refilled under vacuum, minimizing trapped air after repairs or coolant replacement.
Using the supplied hand pump and the appropriate radiator or expansion tank adapter, the cooling system is pressurized. Any pressure loss shown on the integrated pressure gauge indicates leaks within the cooling circuit, which can also be confirmed by visual inspection.
Vacuum Coolant Filling
The included vacuum filling tool creates negative pressure inside the cooling system through either the correct radiator cap adapter or the universal cone adapter. Fresh coolant is then drawn into the system by valve control, ensuring quick and virtually bubble-free filling.
Wide Vehicle Compatibility
The kit includes 20 vehicle-specific adapters covering most common passenger vehicle cooling systems, together with a universal cone adapter for additional flexibility.

Cooling System Pressure Test
Install the appropriate vehicle-specific adapter onto the radiator or coolant expansion tank.
Pressurize the cooling system using the hand pump to approximately 0.7–1.0 bar.
Monitor the pressure gauge and pay attention to the colored pressure zones.
Warning: 2.5 bar is the maximum permissible pressure. Applying excessive pressure, especially on older vehicles, may damage aged plastic components or other parts of the cooling system.
Note the test pressure after pumping. A slight initial pressure drop may occur as the hoses expand, which is normal.
Leaks to the outside of the cooling system will usually become visible as escaping coolant.
For very small leaks, it may be necessary to bring the engine up to operating temperature before testing and/or maintain the test pressure for an extended period.
Using a UV leak detection dye can also help locate difficult-to-find coolant leaks.
Leaks inside the passenger compartment can be difficult to identify. Escaping coolant may often be detected by touch or by the characteristic coolant smell around the heater core.
Leaks at the cylinder head or head gasket can be diagnosed by inspecting the combustion chambers through the spark plug openings with a borescope after maintaining pressure for several hours. In many cases, a CO₂ test or a cylinder leak-down test may provide a faster or more reliable diagnosis.
Leaks between the cooling system and the engine oil circuit can often be identified by discoloration or contamination of the coolant.
Leaks inside the EGR cooler can be confirmed after disassembly. However, because this requires significant labor, a dedicated EGR cooler leak test kit is recommended for a faster diagnosis.
Radiator Cap Pressure Relief Valve Test
Select the appropriate plastic adapter for the radiator or expansion tank cap.
Attach the vehicle's radiator cap to one side of the adapter and connect the pressure tester to the other side.
Apply pressure using the hand pump and compare the pressure relief value with the specification printed on the radiator cap (where applicable).
Vacuum Filling the Cooling System
The cooling system is refilled by first creating a vacuum within the cooling circuit.
Depending on the vehicle, you can use either the universal cone adapter or a vehicle-specific adapter.
Before creating the vacuum, the coolant reservoir should be empty. Any remaining coolant drawn from the engine compartment can be directed into a suitable collection container using the drain hose.
For added convenience, the filling tool can be suspended from the hood using the supplied chain.
Install the appropriate adapter on the vehicle.
Ensure that the shut-off valve is closed and set the selector switch to the OFF position.
Connect the tool to the vehicle adapter and connect the compressed air supply.
Activate the selector switch to begin generating a vacuum.
When the vacuum reaches approximately 20–25 inHg (0.7–0.9 bar), close the shut-off valve and return the selector switch to the OFF position.
Before refilling, observe whether the vacuum is maintained. If the vacuum cannot be held, the cooling system has a leak that should be repaired before filling.
Connect the coolant suction hose to the tool and immerse the other end into a container filled with fresh coolant.
Open the shut-off valve to allow the vacuum to draw coolant into the cooling system.
Once the vacuum has completely dissipated, the coolant reservoir should be filled and the cooling system should be free of trapped air.
Start the engine, allow it to reach operating temperature, and perform a final inspection to verify that the cooling system is leak-free.
