Application
Bushing Removal
Remove the shock absorber lower mounting bolt, ABS sensor, and any other components necessary to gain access to the bushing. Secure the lower control arm in position.
To ensure correct installation alignment, mark the position of the inner bushing wing on the trailing arm.
Lubricate the spindle and bearing before and during the removal process.
Install the tool for removal as shown in Figure 1.
The bushing must be removed from the outer side toward the center of the vehicle (Figure 1).
Turn the spindle until the pressure piece contacts the bushing.
Check the alignment of the bushing and continue turning the spindle slowly.
If the bushing binds during removal, apply grease to the bushing and try again.
Bushing Installation
Install the tool with the installation sleeve as shown in Figure 2.
Clean and lubricate the bore in the trailing arm.
Position the slot in the installation tool so that it faces the rear of the vehicle. The bushing must be installed from the center of the vehicle outward (Figure 2).
Align the bushing so that the bushing wings match the marks previously made on the trailing arm.
Turn the spindle until the pressure piece contacts the bushing.
Check the position of both the bushing and the tool, then continue turning the spindle slowly.
Throughout the installation process, regularly check the alignment of both the bushing and the tool.
Reinstall the trailing arm, ensuring correct alignment.
