This professional shock absorber spreader tool is designed for spreading mounting points on shock absorbers, steering components and suspension assemblies during repair and maintenance procedures.
The tool is suitable for use on shock absorber mounting points at the wheel bearing housing as well as ball joint mounting points on wishbones and control arms during suspension strut removal and installation.
Unlike conventional methods that require hammer impact, this tool uses a spindle mechanism with a 13 mm external hex drive to apply controlled spreading force directly into the mounting opening. This minimizes stress on surrounding components and reduces the risk of material fatigue or cracking, especially when working with aluminum steering and suspension parts.
The guide pin system securely fixes the tool in position by locating through existing bolt holes, significantly reducing the possibility of slipping during operation.
