Shock Absorber Tool Set for Shock Absorbers with Rebound Springs

This innovative shock absorber tool set is specifically designed for the installation and removal of shock absorbers equipped with rebound or return springs.

Rebound springs are integrated inside the shock absorber and prevent damage when the shock absorber extends to its maximum rebound position. During normal operation and compression travel, the rebound spring remains inactive and only becomes effective near the end of the rebound stroke.

Although this design provides advantages for shock absorber function and piston travel, it significantly complicates suspension assembly and disassembly procedures. Even when the suspension spring is fully compressed, the rebound spring continues pulling the piston rod into the shock absorber housing, making it difficult or impossible to install or remove the top nut and spring plate using conventional tools.

This tool set allows the piston rod to be completely pulled outward against the force of the rebound spring, enabling safe and efficient installation and removal of suspension components.

The universal clamping system with protective jaw inserts helps prevent damage to the piston rod surface during operation.
