Usage Instructions

Camshaft Alignment Tool, equivalent to OEM EN-51148

This tool consists of two camshaft locking/alignment brackets, which are installed together on the engine.

Rotate cylinder 1 to Top Dead Center (TDC)
Ensure that the timing marks on the crankshaft and camshaft sprockets are correctly aligned (refer to manufacturer specifications)
Install the camshaft alignment tool as shown
Tighten the mounting bolts hand-tight in the specified sequence

Crankshaft Pulley Holding Tool, equivalent to OEM EN-51147

This tool is used to hold the crankshaft pulley while loosening and tightening the pulley retaining bolt.

Always follow the manufacturer’s specified torque values
Use a 12.5 mm (1/2") breaker bar or equivalent drive tool

Balance Shaft Holding Tools, equivalent to OEM EN-51153

The balance shaft sprockets and chain are located on the transmission side of the engine. Access requires removal of the clutch assembly and flywheel.

Set cylinder 1 to Top Dead Center (TDC)
Install the camshaft alignment tool as previously described
Verify that the balance shaft timing marks are correctly aligned
Install the balance shaft holding tools according to manufacturer instructions to secure their position
