These universal tools are designed for installing flexible ribbed belts and stretch-fit auxiliary drive belts without damaging the new belt or pulley.

Stretch-fit belt systems do not use a conventional tensioner pulley. A suitable installation tool is therefore required to guide the elastic belt onto the crankshaft pulley without excessive stretching.

The two included sizes cover a wide range of pulley and vehicle applications.

Instructions for Use

If the old ribbed belt is still installed, cut it using a suitable tool.
Position the installation tool against the pulley. Adjust the spacer bolt until the tool sits flat and securely against the pulley.
Route the new ribbed belt over all pulleys according to the vehicle manufacturer’s service instructions. Place the belt over the installation tool last.
With the engine switched off, rotate the crankshaft clockwise by hand using a suitable tool. The installation tool will guide the ribbed belt onto the crankshaft pulley.
Check that the belt is correctly seated in all pulley grooves before starting the engine.
