These UV safety glasses are designed for leak detection and service work on air conditioning systems using UV contrast dye and UV lamps. During A/C maintenance and refrigerant charging, a UV contrast dye is often added to the system in order to simplify later leak detection if a fault or refrigerant leak occurs.
Because UV light can cause acute and painful irritation or inflammation of the conjunctiva and cornea, suitable eye protection is essential during inspection work. These glasses help protect the eyes from excessive UV radiation and allow safer use of UV lamps in combination with contrast dye or UV-curing adhesives.
The tinted lens also improves contrast when searching for fluorescent leak traces, making leaks easier to identify. The same inspection principle can also be used on larger and more complex cooling systems, such as refrigeration systems, process cooling systems and heat pumps.

Important note
