NOTE
Always use the external thread adapter whenever possible. The internal thread adapter is intended for very tight injectors or cases where the external thread adapter cannot be mounted. Before working on fuel systems, ensure the system is not under pressure. For instructions on depressurizing and disconnecting/reconnecting electrical lines, always consult vehicle-specific service literature.
USAGE
External Thread Adapter

Remove the electrical unit from the injector (see A).

Screw the external thread adapter onto the injector (see B).

Connect the slide hammer to the external thread adapter (see C).

The injector can now be removed using controlled slide hammer strikes.

It is recommended to replace removed injectors with new ones.

Follow all manufacturer assembly and safety instructions.
Internal Thread Adapter

Remove the electrical unit from the injector.
-
Remove the internal retaining ring with the special hex bit by turning counterclockwise (see D).
-
Screw the internal thread adapter into the injector (see E).
-
Connect the slide hammer to the internal thread adapter (see F).
-
The injector can now be removed using slide hammer strikes.
-
It is recommended to replace removed injectors with new ones.

Follow all manufacturer assembly and safety instructions.
IMPORTANT
To protect the threads, all fasteners must be tightened securely.
