Petrol and Diesel Compression Adapter Set for Digital Tester, item no. 63410

This comprehensive adapter set expands the digital pressure and compression tester, item no. 63410, for compression and cylinder leakage measurements on petrol and diesel engines.

On petrol engines, measurements are performed through the spark plug thread. On diesel engines, the tester can be connected through the glow plug thread or the injector mounting port.

The wide selection of adapters provides compatibility with numerous engine designs and enables accurate, convenient diagnosis in daily workshop use.

Compatible Main Tester

Designed for use with the BGS digital pressure and compression tester, item no. 63410.

The electronic sensor and tester functions are provided by the compatible main diagnostic system.

Supported Test Connections

Petrol engines:

• Spark plug threads

Diesel engines:

• Glow plug threads
• Injector mounting ports
• 44 glow plug adapter versions
• 11 injector adapter versions

Application

1. Remove the spark plug, glow plug or injector from the first cylinder, depending on the engine type.
2. Select and install the correct adapter for the engine and connection point.
3. Connect the non-return and pressure-relief valve to the installed adapter. This is essential for obtaining an accurate measurement.
4. Connect the electronic sensor to the valve.
5. Crank the engine with the starter. The display shows the pressure increasing continuously.
6. Stop cranking once the displayed pressure no longer increases.
7. Repeat the procedure for every cylinder.
8. After completing all cylinder measurements, save the results using the SAVE button.
9. If required, connect the tester to a computer to display the stored data and print a diagnostic report.

Always follow the applicable vehicle manufacturer’s procedures when preparing the engine for a compression test.
