Special service tool set designed for resetting and preparing dual clutch assemblies for reinstallation on Ford Powershift transmissions. The tool set is used when servicing DPS6 / 6DCT250 dual clutch gearboxes.
New dual clutch assemblies are equipped with a transport locking device. After clutch removal, the transport lock must be reinstalled if the clutch assembly is to be reused. The included tools are required for this procedure.

For resetting and preparing 6DCT250 / DPS6 clutch packs for reinstallation on Ford dual-clutch transmissions.
- Installed in: Fiesta from 2011, Focus from 2016, B-Max / EcoSport from 2012.
If necessary, take photos or make markings of positions and installation orientations.
Preparations:
- Remove the clutch pack.
- The 3 retaining clips (arranged symmetrically on the pack) are not locked.
- Clamp the tool with the previously mounted retaining bracket into a vise and install the sliding bearing washer 6 as shown.
- Position the clutch pack with the threaded side facing downward and secure it using the bracket on one of the bolts.
Resetting and Locking Clutch 1
- Place the pressure plate onto the clutch discs with the bolt facing forward and hand-tighten the nut.
- Insert the small reset tool into the slots/grooves of the adjustment mechanism and turn it completely clockwise to the stop position while tightening the nut.
Note 1:
The adjustment unit must first be turned fully to the stop position before the clutch can be compressed.
Failure to follow this procedure will destroy the clutch!
- Simultaneously press the 3 retaining clips (symmetrically arranged on the pack) inward while a second mechanic slowly loosens the nut until the clips engage.
Resetting and Locking Clutch 2
- Position the claw plate so that it contacts the clutch discs of the second clutch and hand-tighten the nut.
- Insert the large reset tool into the slots/grooves of the adjustment mechanism, turn it completely clockwise to the stop position, and tighten the nut.
- A distinct “click” sound must be clearly audible.
