This professional special tool is designed for safely pulling out and securing shock absorber piston rods during suspension assembly procedures.

On shock absorbers equipped with return or rebound springs, installation of the spring and upper spring plate is often extremely difficult because the piston rod retracts deeply into the shock absorber housing. Even when the spring is fully compressed, the threaded section of the piston rod may remain inaccessible.

This tool was specifically developed to eliminate unsafe assembly methods that may damage the piston rod surface.

The clamping device is first placed loosely over the piston rod so it rests at the lower position. The pulling device is then installed over the piston rod and secured using the special mounting adapter and shock absorber nut. The piston rod can then be pulled outward safely. After extraction, the clamping device is tightened from both sides to hold the piston rod in position while the puller assembly is removed and the suspension components are installed.

The zinc-coated construction provides corrosion protection, while the plastic inserts in the clamping mechanism help protect the piston rod surface from damage.
