This locking tool is specifically designed for aligning and securing the gear backlash compensation mechanism on the intermediate shaft in VAG EA825 and EA839 engines. It ensures correct positioning of the gear teeth during assembly and service operations.

Operating Procedure

To lock the gear backlash compensation system, the adjustment pin must be inserted fully into the gear until it reaches the stop. Once inserted, it must be rotated 180° clockwise to secure the mechanism in position.
