This special T60 bit is designed for operating the serpentine belt tensioner on VAG 6-cylinder TDI common-rail engines.
It allows the tensioner to be released in a controlled manner during removal and installation of the serpentine belt. The tool can be operated using either the 12.5 mm (1/2″) female square drive or the 22 mm external hex.
