Usage Instructions

The crankshaft pulley alignment tool is used to correctly position the crankshaft pulley during reassembly, ensuring precise alignment with the crankshaft.

The flywheel holding tool is designed to secure the flywheel and prevent crankshaft rotation when loosening or tightening the crankshaft pulley bolt. The tool components should be assembled together and mounted onto the starter motor flange to provide a stable locking point.

The balance shaft chain tensioner locking pin is used to lock the tensioner in its fully compressed position. The tensioner plunger must be fully depressed before inserting the locking pin to retain it in place.

The auxiliary belt tensioner locking pin is used to hold the drive belt tensioner in its fully retracted position during service operations.

The camshaft chain tensioner reset and holding tools are required to reset the timing chain tensioner prior to reinstallation. The tensioner should be secured in a suitable bench vise using the holding tool. The reset tool is then used to compress the tensioner plunger and rotate it into position, allowing it to be locked in its retracted state.

The camshaft locking tools (left and right) are used to hold the camshafts in their correct timed position. These tools are applied independently from the variable valve timing (VVT) actuators to ensure accurate camshaft alignment.

The camshaft phaser holding tool is used to lock the variable valve timing actuators in their correct timed position during servicing and assembly.
